I'm posting this blog in case something bad happens.

I'm posting this because I am concerned that the couple who help my Mother and me might harm us, and we have nobody to help us that lives nearby.

Has anyone had help in your home for things like cooking, cleaning, or various other tasks, but the people helping you make you uncomfortable, or they take advantage of you?

This is the case with a couple who helps my Mother and me.

They borrow money BESIDES what we pay them, and don't pay it back. They use my Mother's car, (with… Continue

Coffee Shop Tales

I used to watch "Friends" and wonder two things. Why does nobody in NYC lock there doors and who practically lives in a coffee shop?

I think I understand the latter a bit more now. Since coming out to the Midwest farmland of America there's not a lot to do. Except drink. And seeing as it wouldn't be appropriate to turn up to work with the kids of America (woah-oh) in a less than sober state coffee is the beverage of choice.

There's two really good coffee shops near to… Continue

Peoples who's throat I would rip out, and why.

As a Vampire, I have eclectic tastes.

Kat Ballou would taste like domestic beer. I would probable have her blood running down my cheeks, as I call Xfashionfacist at 3 AM crying for one more chance to slurp upon her black liquorish hemoglobin. Anotherbrianne would be satisfying , but I would get hungry again in an hour. I'll keep her chained in my basement. I would feast upon MOTC in the closet, but then never talk about it again. Blanchenoe, Sedona Leigh, and Nobodyshild99 would be my… Continue

I Saw "Avenue Q" Tonight

I highly recommend this show. It is so clever and so funny. Do not take the kids though. It is definitely R rated.

Oreo Intervention!

I never thought this would happen again. I mean, it's one thing when you're a kid..you can go through a package of Oreos and walk it off, but not when you've reached Ye Olde Fahrtdom, as I have!

I hadn't eaten one in years. Those wonderful cookies in all their creamy centered, pull-apart, milk-dunking, perfect roundness with ridges, delightfulness. But then recently I discovered, Newman-O's! An organic Oreo! No more guilt that I'm destroying my personal ozone layer… Continue

My First Car, Part Three, (RIP)

Picture a sunny summer day in New England. This was how my day started as I left home for my job at the camera store. Got in my MG, it started, and off I went. Parked it under the nice big ole' tree for a little shade, the only tree that bordered the parking lot at work. Comes 5:25pm, time to get ready to close up..suddenly the sky gets very dark. The darkness envelopes the parking lot until literally we couldn't see past the large windows of the shop. Then the wind picked up..strong… Continue

I've Got Nothing to Say

I watch a lot of videos and I read lots of blogs and I am very interested in hearing what other people are thinking about, but I find that I rarely have anything to say myself. Maybe I am shallow and don't have any deep thoughts. Seriously. Do you think some people are just put on this earth to be the listeners?

DURAN DURAN...Does Anyone Still Remember 'Em?

I got hold of this DVD (a 2004 reunion concert) and was watching it last night..

Man, as the band started playing "Hungry Like A Wolf",

BAM!!..I felt I was catapulted back to 1985..

the hair..the dress...the shoes..the attitude..

youthfulness full of fun and adventure....F^*K! it was GREAT!

then the band played "The Chaffeur"..

ahh..goosebumps I had all over..

and what the F?..my eyes had tears in 'em..tears of… Continue

My First Car, Part Two.

Once, driving down a hill, I hit a patch of sand on a curve. Suddenly I was driving down the hill..backwards. I felt the car bump, then it felt like I was going up in the air. I came to a stop. I got out of the car and the right two wheels had climbed up a low stone wall in someone's front yard. The bizarre, and extremely lucky thing, was that the wall started at grass level, so my car literally 'climbed' up the wall. No external damage to the car, or me, and relatively minor damage to the… Continue

Sunday PSA- The Bloggish Edition

Hey Arkians

Well, I'm sick in bed- been sleepin' for the most part for the last couple of days and I've got the kind of headache that pretty much makes me want to end it all right this minute (just kidding- don't call 911).

So for the first time EVAH, the Sunday PSA comes to you via blog.

And it's the perfect week for this to happen because as it turns out there's really nothing to report, except that Doug will begin editing the Loser vid this week, so… Continue

My First Car, Part One.

This is a love..and hate..and love..and hate, story. In the 1970's, I was working at my first job after graduating college. I had jobs while a college student, cleaning toilets in a department store, driving people to and from JFK and LaGuardia Airports, but those were part time jobs. My first full time job was as a salesman in a camera store in my downtown area. I accepted the position mainly because I needed the money to pay off my college loans. I rationalized that it was okay to work in a… Continue

Hot Air Vent

I try not to make hasty judgements. Be nice and accommodating to everyone but not be walked on. I tolerate a lot and try to be a good friend to all. Work hard at seeing the positives and treat people in a way I would expect to be treated until they prove undeserving of that level of respect.

Doing this has taught me two things. Firstly, that no good deed goes unpunished. Secondly, my first impression of people is right about 99% of the time.

From my last blog I got a lot… Continue

Trust My Instincts....?

Sitting in the lobby of a cheap Holiday Inn. I want to leave.

Go back to New England or original England. Either way I don't care.

My instincts are telling me to get out now but in all honesty, they've been telling me this for a while.

In Manchester Airport I had to force myself to check in. More than once I fought back tears as I said goodbye. Those who know me know this is rare.

Arriving in the US airport I felt no excitement. Standing on a moving… Continue

Is It Just Me?

Tomorrow I fly out of Manchester on a thirteen and half hour long journey to the USA. When I arrive my new employers have told me to get the bus to a travel inn that has been booked nearby (that is the limit of the information. Seriously. The name of the hotel and the fact that a bus is the way to get there.)

The following day me and my two compatriots (who I haven't yet met) meet with the boss and get the keys to two cars then drive three hours up two states, get to our two bedroom… Continue

the times have surely changed

my friends wrote that song a long time ago. we all knew things had changed from the last time they were a band and that some big changes were ahead of us. most of them were out of school. in fact, in our "group" only three or four of us were in high school. those were the days.

fast forward to now. it's been a long while since i've spoken to most of you. why? things have changed. i no longer find the need to know who is doing what 24/7 online. i also work 40 hours a week. i don't go… Continue

So Very Drunk

I am drunk. Properly wasted. Trousered. Plastered. Hammered. Wrecked.

Sober enough to remember the things I wish I could forget though.

Typical.
