I try not to make hasty judgements. Be nice and accommodating to everyone but not be walked on. I tolerate a lot and try to be a good friend to all. Work hard at seeing the positives and treat people in a way I would expect to be treated until they prove undeserving of that level of respect.

Doing this has taught me two things. Firstly, that no good deed goes unpunished. Secondly, my first impression of people is right about 99% of the time.

From my last blog I got a lot of good people giving me advice and I'm grateful for that. I took it all on board.

Please don't take my blog as moaning or anything. I write these things here because I don't want to burden my family back home by letting them know how unhappy and far away I am feeling right now. Neither do I want to piss off my employers. So unfortunately for the Ark, my blog is going to cop for this for a little while.

Thanks for the words of advice etc and please bear with my venting.

I hope the trip and job work out. Sometimes the things we dread the most turn out to be worthwhile experiences. As for venting, no need to feel bad, rant on!

I'm with you spacemonkey... I use the ark to just get things off my chest a lot of times so that I don't explode or fall apart on my family. I get a lot of words of comfort and encouragement and I appreciate them very much, but I also don't want people worrying about me or feeling sorry for me. This, for me, is just an outlet to help me deal with things, so I understand what you are saying.

On the other hand, sometimes its good to know that there are people who care and nice when they take the time to give me a word of encouragement. I'm sure its the same for you.
