I haven't vlogged in months.
But beginning Sunday, I'll vlog every day for
THIRTY days if I can get
THIRTY fellow vloggers to pledge ONE dollar each day I put a video up.
If this happens, I promise to put as much time, energy, and honesty into the vids as I possibly can.
I have ideas, promises to keep, bets to pay up (a booty shake, for one..), and lots to talk about.
I needed something to get me…

If you’re acquainted with BlancheNoE but you were unaware of her fight to regain her health, please see her vlog,
PCLD Files-1.
Okay, here’s how the Put Blanche in the Hospital Fundraiser works. Instead of pledging a contribution for every mile that a friend walks in a walkathon, you’ll instead be pledging a contribution if your friend rises to your tag challenge.
If you issue a tag to someone who meets…

An
article in INFOWORLD tells of a report that explains why:
"A key reason is that as companies have moved to digital processes, those processes aren't tied to specific physical locations. "Another driver is the ongoing standardization and commoditization of work, making it more portable. In conjunction with cheaper bandwidth and technology that enable 'digitization' of work…

“There’s gonna be a Beatle show on Saturday morning. Everybody come!”
“Where? Where’s it gonna be?”
“In the Horton’s garage.”
I don’t know how long it was after the Beatles’ first Ed Sullivan appearance that the Beatle shows started happening in my neighborhood, but they lasted for the duration of 1964. The location was always revolving, like an after-hours rave. It might be in the Horton’s garage one Saturday, in the Willis’s backyard the following week.
A…

If you have iTunes and love The Beatles, you can go there
now and watch their first U.S. concert FREE of charge. It
was in Washington D.C. in 1964, and is a fun watch.
Just click on 'Watch the concert' on The Beatles page on iTunes.
Enjoy!

Walking through life as if no cares
they say the world is yours IF you dare
but somehow i feel this not to be fair
for the ones who lament are those who truly care
tears for the past as if they can see you
try as you might you know it to be true
you may show yourself in every coloured hue
they are but shadows they can no longer see you
shout out aloud lose your voice if you must
is it blind faith that you ultimately trust
the land we…

Dear Amy, I hope you are still checking in. I just finished answering the tag you
inspired me to do..here 'tis:
Here Amy, is my recollection as you requested of one of my encounters with a celebrity.
This took place in 1999. I was nearing the end of my employment with an organization
I had worked at for 18+ years. I was soon to go on full disability due to the fact that
my illness, Transverse Myelitis, was preventing me from doing the work I…

They aren't going to help me.
I so appreciate everyone's concerns and prayers.
We now have no choice but to move to Germany where at least I won't have to work.
Thanks again for everything. I'm going to be out for a while.
Much love,
Amy
P.S. I'm sorry I got everyone's hopes up. Dr. Lisker-mehlmann assured me I was on the list.
He was…

WARNING : Blatant, unapologetic bragging contained herein !
Inspired by S.A.Murray
S.A. Murray left a comment on my "Brush With Dizzy" blog asking if I had a photo of myself with Dizzy Gillespie from our meeting many moons ago and sadly, I don't have one. Cameras were not aloud in the auditorium where he was performing. This made me think of many other lost photo ops throughout my long strange trip of life so far, and a couple that were not lost.
,...and now for some…

In this era of foreclosures, layoffs and debt, it is time for us to ask, "Why must we pay to live on the planet we're born on?" I am starting a global movement to get people to ask that question. I have a video introducing my plans to do a documentary and book on the subject, but as it has a fundraising pitch at the end, I didn't put it on this site. But it is uploaded on VIMEO at
http://vimeo.com/16299789 and all of you are welcome to view it and…

In the year 1983 when I was 18 years old, I was fortunate to get to see Dizzy Gillespie play in a small auditorium on the campus of South East Missouri University. He played from the soul brilliantly, as he always did, and the back up musicians were phenomenal as well. I loved the way he seemed to go out of his way to feature the other musicians and I will never forget the way the audience members were singing along, not with their voices but with slight undulations of their bodies and blissful…

Troops Discharged for Being Gay, Re-Enlist
October 20, 2010
Associated Press
SAN DIEGO -- At least three servicemembers discharged for being gay have begun the process to re-enlist after the Pentagon directed the military to accept openly gay recruits for the first time in the nation's history.
The top-level guidance issued to recruiting commands Tuesday marked a significant change in an institution long resistant and sometimes hostile to gays.
"Gay…
