It looks like two or three of the reactors at Fukushima are in the
process of melting down. In case you haven’t heard, reactor 1
literally blew up. I flew within several hundred miles of Tokyo last
nite when we left Seoul, South Korea. It was all over Seoul TV.
American television is covering it up, but that won't last for long.
It is bad. Probably the…

In some ways, lawmakers' finances look a lot like those of many Americans. They include diverse portfolios of stocks, bonds, mutual funds and real estate. ever feel like your lost without a cause
as if your living on this earth rather then walking through it
without words lost for meaning and a purpose
trying to create something out of nothing and failing at every turn
with no one to look up to and not a soul to hear your words
sometimes what you have to say may not sit well others
but unspoken words are far more poisonous
then speaking what what needs to be heard
wrote this…

Clips from this Billy Joel Q&A in 1996 have been popping up on FB lately. I was

This video gives you a good sense of how BIG Wisconsin's demonstrations are.
Today, despite the freezing snow, 100,000 people stood for worker's rights.
The last four seconds made me…

"There is no means of avoiding a final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as a result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved." -Ludwig Von Mises

A wave of charged plasma particles from a huge solar eruption has glanced off the Earth’s northern pole, lighting up auroras and disrupting some radio communications, a NASA scientist said.
But the Earth appears to have escaped a widespread geomagnetic storm, with the effects confined to the northern…

It's 19 degrees outside. I am standing in the shadow of this building. I knelt to extinguish candle after candle in this place where 5 people's lives where extinguished less than a month ago. It was not exactly what I had signed up for, but I guess it brought me to this place I had avoided now for weeks despite its close proximity to home. We discussed how things were to be separated, cleaned, dried, and placed in boxes. Like some sort of dreadful assembly line we each took to a task…
