When I was still working all those years ago, once in awhile my Dad would stop by to visit me in my office. It was only a few times, but I was so glad to see him. The last time he stopped by my office was probably more than 15 years ago. I can see him walking in the door now. He had a big smile on his face. He was still driving then. I said: "Dad, I'm really busy now, this isn't a good time.", or something else equally stupid. He said ok and he left. I think that was the last time he came to…

When I was twenty seven, I decided to became a fireman. Why? I wanted comrades, and not co-workers. I wanted a job with a little swagger. Something I could be proud of. The safety of government benefits was a great perk as well. Nobody looks down on firemen. I got a personal trainer, and got into terrific shape. I studied the civil service Manuel's. I visited places I wanted to live. I came up with wanted to be a smoke jumper. Very macho indeed. Then a girl broke up with me, and I fell into…

Well its summer and this email will circulate several times during the next few months. Its hysterical, why? Cause its true.
Jeff Foxworthy on Illinois :
If your last governor is headed for prison and the governor before him is already there,
You might live in Illinois .
If your latest US Senator lied to get the job,
You might live in Illinois ..
If your local Dairy Queen is closed from November through March,
You…

I'm sure some of you corporate, professional, sales people jerk offs will know what I"m talking about <3
I have taken the Landmark Forum. It's hard to explain what it is, but I'll tell you what I wanted from it. I am stuck in my life, and am looking for something that will help me move forward. Ambition, confidence, and self esteem would be good tools for me. At 8:30 in the morning I sit and listen to a 3 hour explanation of what the forum is, at the end of which people are asked…

Well Hedy hoe to your languid tart vomit. It is not alternative art when you get your prose from the walls of toilet stalls. Get up! The club is closing. Is it not enough that you chew our om age timeshare with red bull inspired poetry. How little you know child. Precipitous to future parking meter allegory, chew well your eraser.

I wanted to vlog this, but since I am unemployed and can no longer be bothered to dress or bathe regularly, I thought it best to not show my face on camera.
As I mentioned in my last vlog, I write for my local newspaper. I ran across an interesting event and requested the assignment.
It was a film festival in Venice, CA called "Broad Humor"--comedy films completely written, directed and produced by women. With my press pass, I got free access to the entire weekend's…

This story could have had a much different outcome if it hadn't been for the wonderful owner and staff of The Green Burrito in Cypress.
My oldest brother and I took Mom back to The Green Burrito a couple days after her return. We thanked the staff and they told my Mom how good it was to see her again.
When they left us, she wanted to know who they were so we explained that they were the ones who found her and made sure she returned home safely. She insisted she had never…

Pondering on the vanished part, how does a 84-year old woman vanish?
My first thought and greatest fear is that someone offered her a ride. How else could a 84-year old with a walker and numerous health issues stay hidden for so long?
If you think about it for too long, it will drive you crazy. I went from being in shock to disbelief to fear to even anger. Anger at the gentleman who left her walk out.
I told my sister in the parking lot that afternoon that if we…

I apologize for waiting so long to post this and promise not to make you wait as long for the next part.
So...
After talking with Tom and my sister, I got back in my car and drove my nephew to my house. I left him there in case Mom showed up and then I went to the Sheriff Department.
Can you guess which Deputy was in the front when I showed up? You guessed it! The same one I had a problem with the last time I was in.
Our conversation…

so its been a while since I last blogged.. almost a month to the day I think. A lot has been going on; my mother in law became gravely ill and we thought we were going to lose her.. but they performed surgery and she was ok. Then we found out that my husband had a daughter from an affair he had almost 17 years ago.. (we've been married for 25 this year). Right after that..my mother in law took a turn for the worse and wound up back in the hospital.. we were told she had about 2 days to live...…

Where do I start? It's been so long since I've posted on here on a regular basis. For those of you who know me, this won't be anything new to you. I guess I'll start with an event which happened in March. A life changing event. This seems to be the most logical place to start.
On Sunday, March 15th, I went out to breakfast with a dear friend of mine. Because of work schedules and family commitments, we're only able to get together once every couple of months. We can spend hours…
