I think it's worth pointing out that only Amy took part in the Karma Challenge and she got a new liver. Just throwing that out there ; )

Right well firstly thanks to all who are taking part, commenting etc on the 30 second vids. Great to see so many cool videos on the Ark.
Secondly I'm slighty stuck with a viewing problem right now. I'm using acomputer where I'm currently living cos I have no wi-fi access to use mine but for some reason videos won't play. I'm using a guest account so can't install the necessary things as I don't have the admin permissions.
So I will be catching up with watching… Continue

Found this app on iTunes the other day and thought a lot of you might like it. It's a 15 sec video sharing app. It has a nice vibe to it. Check it out here. It's currently only on iphone but other smart phones will be available soon I think. If you join, look me up. Usual name cos I ain't that creative.

Katybella an old LV friend tagged me and several others in a fun photo game. Below is my resulting CD cover. The rules/instructions are underneath if you're bored for half an hour and wanna play : )
1 - Go to wikipedia and hit random. The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
2 - Go to quotationspage.com and… Continue

If anyone would be interested in helping me write a song for music month then reply to this blog.
I thought if people had ideas for songs or lyrics they would like to suggest, I would attempt to put them to music. Just an acoustic guitar affair, nothing too flashy but if you would like to help me I would appreciate it.
If you're a musician and want to play on the finished video, add a riff, take a solo whatever then feel free to let me… Continue

I just updated my facebook status to "hates wshing he was somewhere else". The first response I got is from someone suggesting I settle where I am and think about moving later. Is that how this works?
See I keep meeting people who all had high hopes and dreams but the every day has weighed them down. Now all those dreams are just what they use to think about what-might-have-been. In fact the person telling me to settle down on facebook is a prime example of someone who is stuck in a… Continue

Waiting for my plane. It’s a long wait but maybe that’s because I don’t want to get on board. I’m about eleven hours away from anti-climax.
The routine goes like this. I land. Collect my luggage. I go outside and am met by a friend or family member. This is a bittersweet moment as I’m happy to see them but with that comes the reality that I’m....home.
Home. That word should bring to mind… Continue

Hey I've got to think of a song to sing at a Halloween party. It'll be karaoke most likely. The only thing is my costume should have some connection to the song in some way.
I've been drawing a blank on this for a while so I thought I'd ask you creative Arkian sorts. Any help greatly appreciated!

I really want to make a video. More than that I want to be inspired to make a video. After all, all the effort in the world won't matter if you're not inspired.
The desire is there but the motivation isn't. Like a second hand jigsaw, I'm missing pieces.
I'm missing the comment streams that would come about as people commented and replied to those comments on videos. The banter.
I'm missing the days when people would make videos that would be visually stunning… Continue

When I'm in the USA my social network basically breaks down into two groups. The first group are my soccer players/parents/coaches/board etc. Usually this group consists of very fine individuals who share a common bond but also have the propensity to err on the side of their particular child/team/club. An occupational hazard but one that is usually worth the trade off.
The second group is you. My online friends. People who I''ve never met (in most cases) but people who I feel an… Continue

Today a team I coach won a tournament. We've been having a tough time this season with games where we've played well but don't always get the results we deserve. But this weekend the team were brilliant.
Tonight I get an email from parents requesting a meeting with me to discuss their son's playing time.
The last tournament one of my teams won earlier this season was followed by a phone-call from a parent who wanted to discuss their daughters playing… Continue

The company I work for is a special brand of awesome. They take good care of you and take steps to re-assure you about things ahead of time. Take, for example, the opening paragraph of this email that was sent to coaches in the UK who will be coming out to the USA for summer work;
I know from listening daily to BBC Radio and from what I see of the internet the British Media are doing their best to sensationalize the present swine flu outbreak. They… Continue

Last week I went to a cool open mic night. It was different from the ones I've done in the UK. Back home they were always in pubs not coffee shops and they were always musicians performing.
This one had storytellers, poets, harmony singers and musicians ranging from steel guitar slide blues players to autoharp crooners via garage band buddies.
And in the middle, me. Bringing on the misery as only I can lol.
Still it did help me meet some new muso types. One… Continue

I have to wonder whether blowing almost all of my savings on an awesome guitar is the best course of action?!
So far I've resisted the urge but....I'm..worried...I might be..losing...the............fight.

When I was 14, I hoped that one day I would have a girlfriend.
When I was 16 I got a girlfriend, but there was no passion, so I decided I needed a passionate girl with a zest for life.
In college I dated a passionate girl, but she was too emotional. Everything was an emergency; she was a drama queen, cried all the time and threatened suicide. So I decided I needed a girl with stability.
When I was 25 I found a very stable girl but she was boring. She was totally… Continue

OK the deadline is tomorrow (April 15th) to get clips in.
So far I've had very little response. So I'm going to make it simpler. Now I just need either an inspirational quote or a funny cos it's true quote as those seem to have been the most responded to (and by most I mean three).
I'll extend the deadline to this sunday night (April 19th).
Please try and get something to me by then if you want to and can.

To anyone who owns a mac, do you have any recommendations of what kind digital camera is good to use and compatible with iMovie?
I need a small camera that can take still shots and decent video and isn't the most expensive thing in the world.
Suggestions gratefully received.
