Like I'm Gonna Burst

I really want to make a video. More than that I want to be inspired to make a video. After all, all the effort in the world won't matter if you're not inspired.

The desire is there but the motivation isn't. Like a second hand jigsaw, I'm missing pieces.

I'm missing the comment streams that would come about as people commented and replied to those comments on videos. The banter.

I'm missing the days when people would make videos that would be visually stunning with brilliant music and thought provoking content.

I'm missing the days when videos were more than just talking heads.

I'm missing the power to subscribe. Where I could check my personal choice of channel to watch.

I'm pretty sure you're not alone in your missing. Hey, Pen and I have a Halloweeny video we're posting on Thursday, maybe that will inspire you to make a vid? Sometimes I pretend to subscribe to channels here and I banter with myself if nobody else is around. Did I just type that out loud ? I wish the ghosts of Christmas would visit Brad Greenspan,..but like Dolly Parton says : "if wishes were horses,...."

I actually have tons of footage. TONS of it. I just haven't edited it. I know EXACTLY how you feel, Dan. Exactly.

I admit, it's easier to be a talking head than it is a video-maker. I don't have as much oomph!

I miss those well-produced, well-edited concept videos too, Dan. We just don't try as hard as we used to to impress each other anymore. But every now and then, someone still comes through. I find it worth waiting for.

I, too, miss all those creative stew pots on the giant community stove, but the truth is that if it all came back, I wouldn't have time for it anymore. I was a full-fledged LV addict, but I have to stay on the soc-net wagon now, so it's better for me that there's little temptation to throw myself into the video-sharing snake pit again.

I'm just the opposite. I'd trade it all in a heartbeat to have my LV back again...
