I need help

To anyone who owns a mac, do you have any recommendations of what kind digital camera is good to use and compatible with iMovie?

I need a small camera that can take still shots and decent video and isn't the most expensive thing in the world.

Suggestions gratefully received.

I have a mac and several different cameras. They all work. iMovie is great fun. The only confusion I had was which download cable to buy. There's one with a big end and a little end (which is what my old PC used) and one with a little end and a little end. That's the one you want :-) I'm sure there are very technical terms for these things, but not being a very technical person, the technical phrases "big end" and "little end" worked well for me. Also, go to your local apple store, have some footage ready, and make an appointment with the genius bar...while most of the stuff is obvious, they'll show you some GREAT little quirky things that make all the difference.

Thanks Ruth (not you Doug). I've got an apple appointment tomorrow so that should be good. I'll bear the lil end in mind....that sounded wrong.

@ Doug - I thought so too but my SD camera isn't compatible with iMovie for some reason.
