I understand the rules like this:
Depending on the difficulty for each challenge you complete you get points (as written in the guide). The player who gets the most points by may 20th wins. Who wins if there's a tie, I do not know. Let's ask the Sydster.

The way it works is you challenge someone and propose that you'll do or give them something should you wind up with the least amount of points at the end, so we don't even have to be specific about which challenges we do- we just pick the ones we want and as we do them, we rack up the points with the goal of having more than our competitors at the end.

If I lose against you, I'll send some goodies for the feline population of Jim-land. :o)

Thanks for your comment on my vid, AF. Yes, I highly recommend meet-ups with close online friends. I wouldn't meet up with any haters, pervs, or stalkers, though, unless you're into that sort of thing. ;)
