The Ark

Whatever floats your boat...

You don't know what they want

So you can't give them what they want

They don't know what they want

So they can't ask for what they want

When they think they know what they want, they try to get it

Usually using encoded signals which are easily misread

When they ask directly for what they want, that usually means it's too late

You blew it, because you're supposed to KNOW what cannot be known

Don't you KNOW???

When you think you know what they want, you try to give it

Because all the signals Appear to Say.. they want it from YOU

When they get what they think they want, they don't want it anymore

What's wrong with you? Don't you know that's not what they WANT!

When you give what you think they think they want, you are always WRONG

No matter what you will do today

You will be wrong

Do yourself a favor in the morning..

Look yourself in the mirror and say Fuck You

Be sure to say it several times, with inflection in the voice, so you know you MEAN it

Just get it over with in the morning

'cause you are fucked folks, male or female

'Cause no matter how hard you try, whatever you do, you are going to be WRONG...

then you can go on with the rest of your fuckedup day

Women

Don't kid yourself though

As much as they may torture you, they are equally tortured

Touche'

(and today I was pining away again, as my teen sons grow farther apart from me as best buddies, knowing that if they were daughters, we'd STILL be able to have mommy and me time each day....for now, I have to watch as they get further from my view finding way more exciting things to do than hang out with mom...)

OH>>>so HI ..It's ME again... AT times like this,I would usually do something really mischievous. I'm gonna try really hard not to.

Just thank your lucky stars this place doesn't have a bulletin for posting my insanity when the week is over and I've lost all sense of balance...some things never change. only the landscape

I've been off balance since December.  Just when I think I've regained it, I trip and fall again.  C'est la vie.

I LOVE you and am so happy to see you here.

@Ruth - all these global changes in economy and general lack of confidence people are having. watching things fall apart even outside our little galaxies ...can't be helping our ability to feel "balanced". Man, I used to be the MASTER of it.  What the hell happened there? I believe I LET myself Feel....that's apparently a bad thing.

You are going to do fine.  Your challenges are making you stronger and better at every turn. We are the ones who can't see ourselves as well as others can.  With every trip and fall you make, when you get back up and look back, you see you ARE making progress forward, aren't ya? It sure looks like it to me, girl. The ride is complicated and bumpy but you ARE moving forward and looking damn good doing it. Isn't that a great talent you've got there...to look like a Princess while fighting this battle...now THAT is a skill to be proud of.

I'm gonna follow your lead.

Is it wrong that this blog makes me happy ?

...not so much for the CONtent as for the fact that it means ThatGirl is still around.

Comment by Chig on August 28, 2011 at 12:54pm

Don't take Blanch's "happy" comment personally, ThatGirl.  She favorited my blog about killing my best friend.  Plus I hear she wanted more blood shed at the hands of number 2 in Adam's latest epic.

The thing I notice with parents losing what they had with their kids is that it comes back 2 fold when the grand kids roll around.

F, Chig. This blog made me happy, too.

OMFG I want to send this blog to 1/2 the peeps I know! *chuckles* Read it to my husband on our 29th anniversary. He said ~AMEN~! He thinks you are a genius! Me too!

LOL I started saying 'FU' to myself in the mirror some time around 2000...

Do not despair... Young males tend to take an ~axe~ to the maternal umbilical cord in their teens... but then, once they find their 'inner male' do come back. *grin of shock* Apparently my opinion is now of some worth... *faints* (Mother of a 19 and 21 year old men.)

A most excellent blog!

My poor mother. As a daughter, I never gave her that "mommy and me time" of which you speak. In fact, I'm pretty sure that all of the above describes me to a T. I now look on that period of my life as my asshole years (which follow immediately on the heels of the Wonder Years).

I called my mom and read it.  She's still laughing.

I miss ya around here - glad you're back and mess'n about.

Haha..I love ALL your comments but must throw credit where credit is due. I first heard Chris Rock rant about men being WRONG no matter what, so that found it's way in there appropriately but the rest is just MEEE..My crazy mind...

@Pyper ..so glad your mom got a kick out of this. It seems SO true and scary at the same time.

@jinboy - you NEVER forget about Tink. That just made me SO happy right there.. *kiss on cheek from Tink, maybe a bop on the head too from the wand. she cant help, she's sorta bipolar.

@NJ - Aw on the mom thing. Growing up , we never know WHAT we're really doing...so i think "asshole years" may be an appropriate term for the teen years most especially.

@Marie - You sound like a REALIST to me. Nobody is a freeking shining star all the damn time, AND I have heard this observation about boys and their moms...hoping it comes to fruition for me and mine. We have been buddies , just the "three of us"...all these years...

@Chig - I always have one eye open with that Blanchie. She's my partner in crime but I don't trust her as far as I can throw her...She keeps a leather knife under her pillow. I ain't messin with that chick.

...oh the rest of you, bugger off
