The closing of 2008

There is a song I've been listening to a lot this week. It's on a CD that I've had since 2006 but I've recently unburied it under a pile of odds and ends in my bedroom. I guess you could say I had forgotten I even had it. Thankfully I rediscovered it at the end of the year because it's an appropriate song for the beginning of this next one.

Wow...

So it's Christmas day.

My parents are here. We were talking about my video habit, since my son got a new video camera and I was thinking I might have to go out and get one too because it is so cool.

New Scare in LV..Video Deletion! AHHH!!

Videos upon videos are being deleted in LV.. Copyright Infringement is the name of the freakin' game..

Songs being added to videos that are copyrighted are being deleted..

I knew friends who had their vids deleted because of this..

BUT a video without music will suck..right?

They said put uncopyrighted music..

A Christmas Care Package

In response to my last two blogs, I was inspired to rethink my angst about gift giving by the comments of 30andOut, Tahllulah, and ScribblersSanctuary, who relish the opportunity to give at Christmas unencumbered by the anxieties I feel. The Best Gift EVER!

The best gift I ever received was a talking toy chimpanzee called Chester O'Chimp. He was manufactured by Mattel in 1964, but I felt certain that Santa's elves would have no trouble making an excellent knock-off. Chester was about the size of a baby chimp, and when you pulled a string on his back, his rubber lips moved while he said any one of a dozen wise cracks. Jalen's Moon

Friday's full moon was amazing - the closest the moon has been to us in a long time.

I wished upon it, calling it Jalen's moon.

Jalen was a beautiful 5 year old boy, the son of a friend where I work, a twin to his sister Sheriden. But last Tuesday, he died suddenly. His appendix burst, and he died. His family is heartbroken beyond belief.
