My knowledge of history is far from perfect, (kinda like Wikipedia), but if I recall, Oliver North was our governments arms salesman to Saddam Hussein, we were friends with Noriega once upon a time, and we've had high officials in bed with some bad actors who own large amounts of oil. So we use these dictators and abusers of human rights until they either threaten to use our own weapons against us, or we just need some reason to look good?

@ Photo- Well, your knowledge of history seems fairly accurate to me. Civilians can be jailed and sentenced to life for the very things our government officials do with barely a slap on the wrist.

I was referring to stuff currently made in the USA.

,..and umm,...eh-hem,....I'll give you the telegraph, but, computers were invented by Charles Babbage ,Englishman, (mechanical) and Konrad Zuse ,German, (electric). Humphry Davy, Englishman, invented the arc lamp long before Edison and instances of republics can be found pre- Anno Domini.
