I am out and about, so going to just write it, it would still be under two minutes.  I would prefer to save all nationalities however there are over 200 of them, I researched... so that's kinda out of the question because in order to preserve those nationalities you would need at least a few of each...  So I decided I would have to go with ethnic groups, but low and behold, its almost the same thing, just way too many, So I am going to go back to the writings of Plato and say men of the white, yellow, red, brown and black race, and try to have 20 from each group ten men, ten women, different nationalities within the groups, medically healthy people, pref young and couples able to make babies, I hate having to say that not all mankind is important, but if there are only going to be 100 people, I am also going to have to narrow the types to medical professions, electrical/mechanical engineering, woodworking, agriculture, teachers,  etc.  Professions that will be able to help others survive,  I am not too concerned about government and law  stuff as I am in the medical / agriculture situation.

Well, for the sake of the planet I would only save non-functioning hermaphrodites,...and Chig. The dogs will need someone to scratch the places they can't reach.

My gut was to not pick anyone, just allow the species to die out, let nature do as it will.

Then my ego overwhelmed me and I decided I would randomly select 100 Atheist, myself included.  That is the only requirement.  Perish or adapt.  Let the chips fall as they may.

By your use of the word "survive" I'm guessing that only people currently living now count?

Pyper- don't remember where the others came from but this one came from a conversation over at VH.

 

Space- not necessarily..   :o)
