Whatever floats your boat...
Nobody but You from Geoffo on Vimeo.
This is from "Songs for Drella". Drella was a contraction of Dracula and Cinderella, one of the nicknames Andy Warhol was tagged with by an acolyte.
Lou Reed and John Cale take turns singing as Andy and in other songs address him (or his ghost) directly.
I don't listen to "Songs for Drella" that often but I never get tired of it.

Wonderful use of the patterns and effect and music. Wow, this took me back to my years in NYC in the 70's throughout the 80's. Great work, Geoff!
Marie, the flower illustrations are from a pattern book published in 1897. It influenced a lot of art nouveau, especially stained glass.
Thanks, Jim! I created the my patterns (not the wonderful illustrations, obviously) by takings six similar designs into photoshop and stacking them in layers. Then I flipped the visibility on and off. So 1&4 might be a pattern and 2&5&6 might be another. And I would lay down green on various parts for compositing. The kaleidoscope effect is just the droplet transition in final cut express, sometimes applied to one track, sometimes to two, sometimes to all three.
I'd like to take credit for bringing back those New York memories but it was probably Mr. Reed!
The tune's a new one on me- the lyrics are a blast.
And the daffodil, a surprise.
Mesmerizing and a timely choice of tunes. Lou and I now belong to the same club though for, uh, different reasons *snark* which is not to say I wouldn't have ruined *my* liver his way if I'd had his connections.
Lucky bastard.
While I was watching, I thought, hmmm, do I announce in the comments that I've never heard this song before and show everyone how uncool I am? But then Syd breaks the waters before me and makes her own announcement, and since she is the Queen of Cool, I can say it too now. Without fear. Great song; I really need need to buff up on my Velvet Underground.
And perfect moment with the daffodil, Geoff.
@Blanche: Didn't know about Lou's transplant 'til I read your comment. Bless the donor!
