Whatever floats your boat...

This is just early free flow thoughts.... maybe just a poor idea... dunno.

First off, I like to think in terms of positive outcome....

It seems that all of us came together for one major project, we could move mountains.  Tell me what kind of mountains you would like to move.   How would you make this planet a little better?

What kind of stories do you like?

Do some of you remember sometime ago an animated cartoon, in which several animators were given the final frame of the previous animators cartoon, and told to animate their own short... then they were all put together in one animated film?   What would that be like if we had similar directions with a movie in which each of us are given an act and a minimalist story bible, and the last five seconds of the scene of the act which proceeded our act.   Maybe there might be directions, such as include this piece of music... or convey this emotion.... but let artistic license rest primarily on the owner of the act....

what do you think?

Everybody wants to talk about you, Amy, but it looks to me like NJ was also setting me up as the cynical contrast to her shining goodness (which I don't dispute--shine on!). And that was best accomplished by clipping the funny part off of my joke and ignoring the rest of my comment.

My personal opinion is that we should turn on Adams and rend him limb from limb. He said he's in favor of the reforming hitman storyline. Rendered down to its essence he is saying "I'm all in favor of humanitarianism if it means I can kill people and blow shit up."

Not only is that diabolically cynical, it is a direct quote plagiarized from the US Govt "Roadmap To Peace in the Middle East."

War is peace,up is down, right is wrong, CATS & dogs LIVing together...Hey, didn't the bible warn us about these sorts of things ? Isn't it the End of Limes or something like that?...and there was that lime shortage of 2013-14.  I think it means something. Cult anyone? That can be sort of humanitarian if we offer 2 (small) squares a day and all the unwashed raw quinoa they can eat.

Story idea: How a misunderstood idea becomes legend then myth then accepted belief/truth.

...why I seek mindblowing perspectives on the absurdity that is life in most of my creative expressions. Without Art and Music, it's all a puddle of mud to me. Politics gives me an aneurysm, especially if I'm not in a position to execute an act in my job or personal life which can have real impact. There's also quite enough challenge and un-winnable battles in my own life to sink ships...but really, I think your first line there is right in line with ideas I've been having for the last, well....forever!

Im not so good at brevity but here's levity

and on That note, the sun is out and my stay is brief so i'll see ya later!

What kind of mountains would I like to move and how could we make this planet a little better... Since I really never answered that, I would like to see an end to deforestations and animal cruelty,  cleaner energy for air and water.   Poverty kills me but so does political discourse, I would love to do away with the Dems and Reps, seems to be nothing more than an us versus them.

I would like to see more people care about the planet.

Okay, if I had been born with a better, more organized brain I probably would have been a geneticist concentrating on particular gene sets pertaining to propensity towards greed, selfishness and lack of empathy.

I would clandestinely design and release a virus that replaces those icky genes with rainbows, unicorns and puppies.

...which is why Mother Nature has had it in for me from the start.

When you get a chance, check out Lima's blog on coincidence/universal nudges.

As a basis for a collab it would be brilliant, I think. The first one is doing something very meaningful(more to it than this but bear with me), rests for a second and picks up an object to meditate on....scene change, next person walking through a room and sees the same basic object, stops and double takes, it reminds them of the kind thing they almost forgot to do, the recipient of that kind thing gives them a cupcake to thank them, scene change, someone's being handed a cupcake at the bakery, it makes them smile and remember to call their mom, scene change, mom on the other end who by coincidence is sitting down to eat a cupcake, when they finish talking she hangs up and gazes over at a cherished object that came from her child, scene change, someone is sitting on the floor, chin on arms rested on coffee table staring at a very similar object on the coffee table.........

I think it could be wicked cool and I also think I need a cupcake.

I read a story once (okay, many times) called The Ones That Walk Away from Omelas. It isn't really about what would you do to make the world better, it is about what would you accept to make the world better. What price would you pay--or tolerate someone else paying? The story, by the way, is here if you're interested.

But the reason I'm thinking about the story is because it accommodates anybody's ideal society. (I would say the ideal world in the story resembles a Renaissance Faire or Cosplay Convention held at the Playboy mansion--could be worse--but the author doesn't insist. She asks you to think of your own utopia.)

What I'm running through my mind is a process where we don't choose among worthy goals. Everybody goes off and makes a video about cleaner water, better schools, or sexier cosplay and submits them by the date our leader (Chig) deems reasonable. The leader doesn't have to be Chig (yes it does); it can anybody at all (Chig is an anybody).

It might turn out that the five or eight vlogs would be interesting if they are linked together with minimal fuss in one video. Or we might discover a common inspiration undergirding ideas that don't seem similar on the surface.

And then shoot more video with a new level of understanding.

Or maybe we just chop the videos up and stitch them back together at the places rhyming ideas or oddly congruent styles of expression show up. There are lots of ways to do this and the best ways will emerge when we have those five or eight vlogs to look at.

I like the collab idea. It would be fun to see the thought processes of others and their perspective.
