I Think I Have Commitment Issues

I have been working as a temp for the last six months and everything was fine, but two weeks ago I was made a permanent employee and now all I can think about is how badly I want to quit. I just want to stay home and make papier-mache monsters or something crazy like that. Is there a market for papier-mache monsters?

Joann, I understand the feeling you're describing, but right now I'd be thrilled to have a half-way decent, permanent job. Yes, it would snatch away my hours and my freedom, but I'd gain self-worth and economic stability. Of course, we both know that the proverbial grass can look richer in color from another viewpoint.

You all are right. I took this job, even though it is a long drive and I work the night shift and only get to see my husband on the weekends, precisely because it is so hard to find a job these days. I need to keep reminding myself how lucky I am to be getting a paycheck. I still want to make some papier mache monsters. They crack me up.

You could contact the BBC and try and get a ob on Dr. Who if papier mache is your bag ; )
