The Ark

Whatever floats your boat...

Just stopping in to say hello. I hope this finds you all well, happy and enjoying the good life. I think of you all often. I continue to lurk and creep around VH keeping an eye on you.

As for me, lots of good things going on and keeping me busy and out of trouble. mostly. I have some blogs in the works and hopefully, I'll get them posted at some point.

I also wanted to take a moment to thank you all for the support and friendship that was so generously extended when my father passed in February. As you all promised, we are surviving it and the dark cloud has given way to delightful memories. With the holidays upon us, I'm finding myself doing what I was doing before. I turn to my online friends when I need strength. This holiday, we will survive as well but I fear it will be the most difficult. I have no doubt that I will find the peace and support where I always do. Here with you.

Thank you.

That's how I feel about this place too.

Just continue to do what you're doing, Dana, which is focus on the positive.  I find that as the kids, the parents, and I get older, Christmas is mostly about the memories anyway...it's a wonderful thing that you have them.

So lovely to see your face here :-)  Looking forward to those blogs!

Your smiling face always makes my face smile in response.

I have no doubt that your dad and anyone else who's ever loved you is incredibly proud of you.

You have a very lucky family and I'd bet all of my most valuable possessions ( mostly bizarre stage props, naked pictures of Syd , a semi-nude poster of Chig and a love letter to annelidafilms taped to my

refrigerator ) that they know that.

Merry Solstice and Happy Christmas Dana.

Dear, sweet Dana, it is so good to see you pop in. You have been much missed. The first Christmas without a loved one who is gone forever is pretty tough. I hope you will feel the spirit of your dad everywhere around you.

I find electronic surveillance devices strategically placed in semi nude posters given to other vloggers are the best way to keep an eye on them much more affective than lurking..... Blanch, just ignore that creepy feeling the the "eyes" are following you.

I wish you wonderful dreams of your father.   I still dream of mine 25 years later after his passing.  It seems so real sometimes.... perhaps it is in the ways that truly matter that those who have left us in our waking lives are still alive in our dreams.

Ruth - memories and traditions, no? Indeed. I was just talking about you a couple of days ago. A client is going through some rough waters and feeling guilty about needing support. I mentioned how you always know what to say ( or not to say) and how it's always what I need at the moment. You're a treasure.

Amy - my heart bursts every time I think of you. Your strength, talent, inner and outer beauty, and joie de vivre, I'm certain, earned you your miracle. You make me smile too. :c) Happiest of holidays to you as well sweet friend.

NJ - me too, Shug. (((HUGE Hugs))) i think of you often. Love ya!

Chig - if you had shared that wee bit if info with me in a more timely manner I could have saved myself a lot of time and trouble. However, semi nude posters have the odd ability to burn retinas. Lurking might be slow and tedious but it is safer.

Wonderful dreams...thank you my friend. What a delightful thought, that dreams can allow me time with my hero. Thank you for that.
