The Ark

Whatever floats your boat...

I have been watching this show on Hulu, called Being Erica. It addresses the idea of being able to go back through your life for a "redo", an opportunity to do or not do those things you regret in your life. It isn't about changing events or other peoples actions, just about those single moments in our lives that we wish we could have done differently.

I have seen this show advertised on TV a few times, but it is broadcast on soapnet and I don't get soapnet, besides, I thought, how good could it be? It's on soapnet after all. I was, however, pleasantly surprised. I find the show to be very well written with a perfect blend of humor and drama. There are heart wrenching moments when you can't help but feel everything the main character is going through, but the more light hearted moments help to keep it well balanced.

It is a pretty good show and I just wanted to share it with you all because it really made me stop and think about my own life and the effect of regret on me...give it a try, see what you think.

The concept of getting a re-do is a fascinating one and fodder for a lot of fun fantasizing. There is one incident of regret in my life that I sometimes wish I could do over, but most of the time I don't. I learned a lot from that regret, and if I never experienced it, I wouldn't be the person I am now.

All the same, Being Erica sounds like good TV.

Hey, I started watching it. You were right!! Great series. She's a good actress, too- the one in the lead role. Makes ya think a bit about our own perceptions of ourselves and how that plays into where we end up in life and where we're headed...

I only watched the pilot last night but I'm gonna watch more today.

Love ya Dee!
