The Ark

Whatever floats your boat...

This is the grove where I do my volunteer work on the Cooper's Hawk Nest Survey.

Postcard inscription: "Berkeley, Mar. 26. Next Saturday night is to be the night of the production of "The Little Clay Cart" in the Greek Theater. Try and make arrangements for staying over. We can get to the city in time for the 11:35. Bring wraps. Be sure and come over Sat. Victor."

Holy cow!

Reminds me of two pictures where one's an elementary school photo of the class and the other's a picture of the 75th Reunion.

Ouch.

Time marches, or more accurately I think, time meanders on. That stump is the perfect meditation perch.

@ Syd: I've seen photos like that and I find them absolutely fascinating. These trees are individuals like that, and rooted as they are, they progress through time as a group.

@ Ruth: Thanks. I know there's not a lot to say about them, but they're fun to make, and I hope fun to watch too.

@ Blanche: That stump kind of reminds me of The Giving Tree. But I've never seen anyone perching on it--it's too damn huge. This screen grab is from my very first video three years ago. This is me by that very stump, and I'm standing next to it.
