I have to agree with your intro...  its about you and how you apply yourself.  There are good teachers and there are bad teachers, there are good schools and there is bad schools.  I wish you were my teacher... I bet I would learn much more with passion as opposed to just being given a handout and being told to learn this for the next test and then no more on the subject til then.

Kev-  Ooh, flashbacks.  I was almost always that kid sitting next to the one getting yell at (well, from 6th and up, but before that, I was the "yellee".)

Lima- Unfortunately, conservatives are doing a great job making it seem like the schools are in crisis once again (like they did in the 80's to push through efforts to privatize).  The public's starting to go for it again.  It definitely needs reform but THEIR ideas are all about shifting money to private hands and just measuring the simplest types of knowledge (oh gawd, there I go again.  Slap me, please)  :o)
