Jeez but it's great to see your mug! I still get excited when I see there's a new Syd vid. I wish you success with the National Board Certification.

I remember back in '08 that you mentioned in several videos participating in a writers' group and writing. I'm glad you've come back to it. Because you're right, you are good at it.

I believe 2007-2008 is one of those things that happen organically when you have the perfect platform, people, new technology (toys) & ideas that all come together at the same time. I feel I have been through about 3 or 4 of these scenarios (or "Phases") in my lifetime, though this one was probably the best in terms of the amount of amazing people and ideas and just the enjoyment and fun that was had on literally a daily basis for almost 3 straight years.  Just like with most of the other times in my life when these amazing times come together like that, eventually other similar platforms come along, more people find those platforms and some of the people you have been collaborating with want to try those other new things too and eventually just by nature, it dilutes that chemistry that was developed and worked so brilliantly for a while.  I always know, though, that something fun and amazing will come again. The perfect time, place, ideas and people will find something to gather together around and have a terrific adventure again when all the elements are right.  Until then, focusing on personal aspects like you are doing and I think many of us from that '07-'08 time era are doing is also a natural and good thing... Kind of the ebb and flow of life,if you will.

Good luck on your certification! I hope it leads you to the perfect location. :)
