Dislocation

The footage comes from "Black Narcissus", written and directed by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. They acted as a team, sharing both responsibilities. Jack Cardiff was the cinematographer.

The song is by Ultravox, from their "Systems of Romance" album.

Great edit and music Geoff. I have a deep aversion to nuns, but your video makes me very tempted to watch Black Narcissus. ;-)

Comment by NatureJunkie on May 28, 2011 at 2:24pm: I'll catch this if I have a chance. Such an atmosphere of suspense and foreboding, and the cinematography enhances it. Those soft colors and dark shadows remind me of Marie Cosindas' Polaroid photography.
