migrating... global warming, weather changes, pollution, who knows anymore...
I feel like where I am at, I am had summer, nice this past weekend with the fall beginning, and the past two days its like winter... I hate when I pass through my favorite time of the year. Animals are smart, if there is something that can get them in the area I think they avoid it, like in those horror movies where the evil resides, you watch all the animals take off.
I am so happy I don't live in an area with gators.
@ lima
The gators are very rare around here. I've been here 4 years, and have never personally seen one.
As for the seasons, this is the beginning of my favorite. I'll still be in shorts and sandals until almost Christmas, then jeans and shoes for 2 months. Paradise. July and August is much too hot.

I read an essay in Utne Reader once by a woman who had been nabbed by an alligator, and it had even taken her down in that infamous "death roll" before she managed to escape it. Ever since reading that, I know I'll be content with looking at an alligator through binoculars if I'm ever in the presence of one. Watch your toes!
Oh Geoff... I love peking duck, fried duck, yummmmmmm.... I was thinking of ordering hotwings, but now I am thinking thai fried duck sounds tasty!

Does the Evil Kitteh have an alibi?

@ Nature, the first time I saw a rattler, I almost peed! Can't wait to see the gator.
@ Geoff, It seems nobody can keep an Asian food place open down here, due to the 6 month season. It would take a big franchise to stay afloat.
@ lima, Duck a l'orange !!! yummy.
@ Annelida, evil kitteh = gator bait.
