Blackbird Swarm

Sometimes bird watchers call those "bird balls." I've seen them once in a while, but never a swarm as big as this one. Lucky you, John. That's mesmerizing. I'd like to have been there in the moment.

thanks naturejunkie...  these birds do this every evening...I see them on sundays,,   this is the first time I caught them well enough to post....

It would have been around years ago to see some of the flocks that filled the sky as far as you could see!

SO cool. Man, how cool was that pause ?!! It was like a perfectly timed finale of a pro fireworks show. There's a fleeting moment where you think the birds have landed in the trees for an extended rest,...and then WOOSH ! up they go again for a brilliant finish right in the groove of the tune.
