On Ocean Waves and Kathakali... since you don't use pencil, did you use pins to mark the waves and swirls while sewing?

I'm catching up on videos. Since I can't remember where I was... I will be watching you deconstruct the quilt. =-)

Ocean Waves is quilted along the seam lines.
Kathakali, yes, I used bright yellow pin heads to roughly guide me. Sometimes.
Happy deconstruction

When you revealed Kathakali, I thought that might certainly be my favorite of what you were going to show here. Then I saw Leftover Quilt #3, and it instantly became my new favorite--I like the irregularity and busyness of it. But I like the humor of Intelligent Design. And then thinking back, Ocean Waves has a regularity of pattern that I find soothing to the eye and comforting to the soul.

So I don't have a favorite. They are all superb, each for different reasons.

I remain in awe of you. none of the quilts are a favorite as each has an incredible energy. (I'm also partial to the backs which provides a different feeling for the work). this is an art form you are fostering and it's brilliant. (it's also very organic and takes us back to a simpler time which we all need right now.)

Thank you all, you should try it yourself. It is a no fail thing to do, if you dare . . .
