Awww, that was incredibly sweet, Syd. I wish it was longer than 30 seconds. Interesting that she didn't want her sweet memories corrupted by the present. But I can understand it.

Yeah, I hadn't remembered about that until I reviewed what I had.  I have lots and lots of footage of her telling stories.  I'll have to edit it all together as a gift for the rest of the family this holiday.  Maybe I can weave all the old footage and pictures of the family into it.

 

Woo, just got overwhelmed at the thought of it.  Should keep it simple.  I tend to get BIG ideas that take the kind of time I don't have to do, so then it never gets done.  lol    I like your your little shorts.

I know exactly what you mean, Syd. I want to create a little book with a DVD insert about my grandmother for her family, something that will include photos, scans of her letters, and stories that my sister and I can remember about her. The more I think about what I could do with it, the bigger the project becomes in my mind and the more overwhelming. It's the kind of thing I could spend a few years on, if I let it. The trick for me is to finish stuff before my interest in it gets usurped by interest in other projects. My attention span is promiscuous.

I think what you have in mind is wonderful, and I can't imagine getting any holiday gift better than that.
