Whatever floats your boat...

There is a legend told, late at night 'round dying fires, of a squirrel who's coat is white as smoke. He roams the woodlands and suburbs in search of his stolen pigment.

Ah it is good to see you have plenty things to eat at the new place.   I don't know about you but I prefer my dinner consist of more white than dark meat.

Regardless of his press, Pepe Le Pew would like to 'meet' albino squirrel.

I have never seen a squirrel like that one. Very cool.

They must be attracted to you because they know you are a tick-free zone, Pen. I've read there are a lot of those albino squirrels in your part of the country--you might have a colony soon!

@ Marie- It *is* amazing to see one of these guys.

@ Chig- I have discovered that the pie has to be baked @ 325 as opposed to 350 or it scorches the meat.

@ photo- Well, I think she'd give him a run for his money but he's used to that, right?

@ JoAnn- This is the first time I've seen one for myself. He's really cool.

@ Nature- I remember reading somewhere that our state does in fact have the most albino squirrels but in my 46 years of living here, this is the first time I've seen one. I *do* hope that she pushes one of her progeny our way. This one lives across the street which is why we don't have any close ups of her. I'm not sure the homeowners would appreciate us camping in their front yard for close-ups.

Trip out.  I would assume that an albino anything in the wild would be hard pressed to survive - with no blending skills and all.  That is one cool looking dude.

Albinism (?) is rare - I can't think of a time I've ever seen, in real life, a human or animal albino and I've done some traveling.  I'm going to google albino now - thanks for the cool video :0)

@ Kumori- I know, right ? I seem to have a knack for encountering the rarities. Sometimes it's a good thing,

sometimes it's a bad thing.

@ Pyper- You are very welcome, lovely lady. He or she *is* a trip. He/she's got the perfect blend for winter and her burrow seems to be in the midst of a white gravel driveway so she's obviously adapted well.

@ Silly- YAY ! So good to see you. I've never seen a black one. I hope to explore that part of the country some day. I was there when I was 2 but only remember asking my mom " what dat ?" while pointing up at the tall buildings and she answered " That's New York "...and I vaguely remember some very long and scary elevator rides that made me nauseous.
