You just put a big smile on my face. It's great to see so many people relaxed together in song.

I think James Taylor would be really flattered if he saw this. So many people in a big singalong like that---that's community at its absolute best. Oh, maybe a barn raising could top it, but singalongs are a razor-sharp close second. I would love to come to one of your Spaghetti Nights someday when I'm down your way. *hint, hint*

No hints necessary!! Everyone's invited--just show up!!

I feel compelled to add that it's not just a sing-along. These people are all massive talents--you could google any one of them and be suitably impressed. The quality of my doinky recording equipment really sells them short. This particular one minute we're all singing, which is why I chose it. But it's also about performance and showmanship and recognition for some really great musicians. I try so hard to convey it, but I don't think I am ever able to do it justice. It's evolved into a true community event....and it's a wicked talented community!!

I love the concept of this event. I really do. It certainly has grown. I heard spaghetti sells in Topanga have skyrocketed. California economy can use it ;0)

I think it great that you created this environment that people can chill and have fun. I bet it's the best part of their week. I love watching it, even for a minute.
You should be proud of what you started. Look around at the joy you created. Good on ya!

@ Ruth: Okay, I still wanna come, but now you've scared me out of bringing my guitar!

Nah...they'd love it. We had a 20-something kid show up one night and "coach" the guys through a Beatles song. He actually asked, "Have you heard this one?" The guy singing is James McVay, who wrote "The Right Brain Guitar Method," and he loves to teach.

Hey, was that Jerry Garcia in the back ?!?. I'll bet Elvis and John Lennon hang out there too.
I would if I could hang out anywhere I wanted to.

Does Elvis take Peanut butter and bacon with his spaghetti?
Great idea Ruth.
Does anyone here really want to see one minute of me picking up dog poop though?
:-P
