Whatever floats your boat...

Soupy Sales was one of my favorite comedians growing up. His humor
appealed to all ages. He was probably most famous for getting pies
in the face and giving 'em:

See you later sweet Soupy. Thanks for all the pie-in-the-face moments. Watch out for my brother over there. He's likely to throw something at you for giving me the idea of throwing a pie in his face.

@ Kevein- Both !,..and I discovered that you don't really need a pie pan, a piece of construction paper works great and you get more collateral damage (side-splatter).

@Blanchie, lol..I'm surprised my older brother didn't 'pie' me now that I think about it. He did use the 'pull the throw rug out from under the gullible kid brother' gag on me many times however. In fact, I think Charles Schulz got the idea from him!

@Suze, sigh, so much fun..simpler days.

Mr. Sales was definitely ahead of his time. He would be very much at home on a show like Saturday Night Live.

@Jim, True, but I think Soupy' was far funnier than SNL has been recently. His humor was not as in-your-face, (except for the pies of course).

Soupy was a staple of the comedy shows I grew up on. It's hard to imagine what his face would be like without a smile on it.
