Whatever floats your boat...

My Mom had a stroke last week. She has weakness on her right side and difficulty speaking,
She is in a nursing home now for rehab. I have never felt so scared and alone. I am bedridden
and cannot even visit her.

Please say a prayer or positive thought for my Mom Olga's recovery.

Thank you,
Kevin

,...am doing and will do again, Kevin. Can your caretakers transport you to visit?
Thinking of and praying for you both.

Thinking of you both. What more can a person say.

Kevin, I'm so sorry to hear it. If that is true, then maybe the bravest thing you can do is let her know that it's okay to stop fighting. I know from experience that is so much easier said than done. I hope you find the courage you need to get through this.

@NJ..I understand what you are saying, but i will do everything I can to not let her give up. There is still hope for recovery for her. She has suffered depression for many years and I have fought her giving in for years. I have also been giving in for the last few years because of my health problems..gaunt now and in bed mostly. My Mom and I have kept each other going. If things change for the worse..well this is a day to day thing.
@NBC..Thank you so much.

It's my understanding that after a stroke, there is often at least a partial recovery of abilities lost. So don't give up hope, Kevin. I will pray for her.

Jim..thank you..I'm worried now because she is sinking into a deep depression and not eating. They started her on a new anti-depressant yesterday. I pray it helps.

Kevin...how's your mom? I haven't seen you about here and that worries me.
