Whatever floats your boat...

This is just early free flow thoughts.... maybe just a poor idea... dunno.

First off, I like to think in terms of positive outcome....

It seems that all of us came together for one major project, we could move mountains.  Tell me what kind of mountains you would like to move.   How would you make this planet a little better?

What kind of stories do you like?

Do some of you remember sometime ago an animated cartoon, in which several animators were given the final frame of the previous animators cartoon, and told to animate their own short... then they were all put together in one animated film?   What would that be like if we had similar directions with a movie in which each of us are given an act and a minimalist story bible, and the last five seconds of the scene of the act which proceeded our act.   Maybe there might be directions, such as include this piece of music... or convey this emotion.... but let artistic license rest primarily on the owner of the act....

what do you think?

I would make the world better by giving the Grimm Reaper a conscience , maybe by having him adopt an orphan so he knows how it feels to love something making him a kinder entity so he makes dying less scary  and painful for people....wait, that was a Terry Pratchett book.

I like where you're going and you know I'd be in. Thinking....

Finish the story is exactly what we do as training Ice Breakers or a first day activity for students-Doing it in VIDEO form is an innovative idea. I LIKE it and could imagine it would go in many directions with the group of people who reside here.

Im tired too but Im thinking having ONE common Thread like a type of music OR an emotion would give it a direction that is more likely to produce something really memorable....what do i know, my brain is pickled.

How would I make this world better? I'd help get us to a state where neighborhoods were real communities again where people knew each other and were interdependent, where those in need were helped by the rest who pitched in to help them, and those who pitched in felt gratified to do it, and where everyone acknowledges that at various times in life, sometimes you get to be the hero, and other times you'll need a hero's help.

I love animations and I'd love to participate in a project like that. Are you asking for ideas for a story arc, or are you suggesting something like a basic theme that each animator runs with?

If I had the power, I'd dot the globe with small community-based public schools that tended to all aspects of a child's well-being, including health care, counseling, nutrition, enrichment experiences, recreational activities, and learning centers for non-school-hour tutoring.

I vaguely remember doing something called a "story tag" on LV.

I would work for Syd and NJ, then I'd know for sure I was doing something good.

@ TG- yeah, I think some cohesive glue of some sort is good so that what happened with the story-tag doesn't happen again *laughing out loud*.

@Blanch  Thamks and I think the Grim Reaper has a image problem... might be the "grim" in the name.  He's a good guy.   Perhaps the reaper could do a "Happy" dance video and wear funny hats like Pharell Williams.

@ TG  I want "Roads" to be a song in this.   However it would be cool to run through a whole range of genre and emotion.  I think it would be interesting to see this video movie come together, and maybe polished later.

@NJ  Not thinking it has to be animation, but could be in part.

@Syd... TAG!  TAG!   I will kill your TAG!   Tag is a dirty word.   I wonder what became of 1 PC Per child.

Stop the violence is the first thing that comes to my mind. No need to elaborate on that one.

@amy-I refrained from mentioning it but I remember the story tag dying shortly after I did it and one other person. This project could get very creative and artistic which is a whole different thing than a tag. Still interested if we can nail down some kind of anchor.

ThatGirl, I think we could prevent the story line from petering out if we had people commit to it from the beginning. For instance, if seven people committed to it, then it would be agreed that each person would do one segment. We'd randomly pick who would start it and who would end it. Then everyone would know something of what was expected of them, and since everyone would be a volunteer, nothing about it would smack of "tag."

@ Chig- I like it. I'll check the thrift store for a scythe. So I see a theme developing from NJ and Syd's contributions. It may be that I'm just old but I see a greater segment of the population that can't see beyond their own noses and that are raised to see life as a game in which win or lose are the only options which robs them of all the true life joys that are the best part of this plane of existence. Community and nurturing are missing from the new techno reality. Still thinking...

@Blanch.... Don't forget to choreograph in the reaper making people drop dead to the happy beat.

Seriously, we come up with a theme (refugee's plight,   family reuinion, hitman with a conscience, comedy of errors, .... etc...)  or genre (documentary, drama, action, comedy, chick flick.....), settle on a cast and give the player's characters names.... (not to say that people could not be introduced in an act.... if they do they need to be known to people's whose acts follow.)...

I will be working this week, but I bet you guys can blaze some great ideas in the meantime.
