Whatever floats your boat...
In the search for a spark of hope. This weekend's Mission turned up a few.
1. Greta Van Fleet- giving Rock CPR just when it seemed it might just sink into Music History: (yes, they sound exactly like Zep-BUT I see the potential for morphing into a 21st Century phenom)
2. Tash Sultana - Found her a while back, inspired by the fact she is a OneWoman Show. First song I fell for was Brainflower : Now she's producing much more layered music...I think this qualifies as HOPE in one tiny body.
3. COBI- he's so damn good, I contacted this guy. WHy isn't he being promoted? He relies primarily on nature taking it's course with his music promoting itself-and he just finished a US tour.
Don''t Cry for Me -Resistance Music
this track is hauntingly Chicago-Like.
4. ZAK Abel - Most of his tracks are R&B and Pained Lovesongs but THIS is a Track for Change:
** post ANY REsistance music you find on your travels ...ThisGirl needs a musical crutch
lets get THROUGH this Next Phase of Fighting to get Back America and work to make it something It was meant to be.
There's no Perfection, We are never going to GET there, but just like Life , it's the Journey, not the destination that counts.
Happy MLK Day
Greta Van Fleet--I heard them once and liked them, then promptly forgot about them, I guess. Thanks for the reminder! And for the other artists here who are new to me.
THIS song TRULY Makes the Grade for this series "MusicForLibtards" - Resistance Songs Tonight's Grammy performances were almost ALL so good, I'll be savoring them for a while. but THIS one was a standout. Glad you rediscovered GretaVanFleet. Man, I'm ready to Follow them on tour, they're SO good.
Ah yes, Brandi Carlile. I made a video about her for my niece's birthday a few years ago. Still cool. Both of us.
