ah...I know exactly what you are talking about... it's the behavior of perfectionists...

yes, I see what you are talking about, I think you can solve it, the question is, do you really want to go all out to do so?

You could undo the area, take apart a few seems and taper in so that it's more parallel by the lady's head , you might have to get another piece to fit in-between when you are finished...

This would be a difficult choice to me - which value/intensity to choose. How much attention or lack it deserves. The green is so alarmingly good , long important vertical. All eyes going there - no wonder you lost sleep!

I like the shirt you wore for this one and yes, I know that problem well. I had it just last week between about 2am and 6am but it wasn't about anything nearly as creative or important.
My corporation wants me to consult on recruiting because of my expertise which would mean meetings on top of my regular work hours and I kept trying to devise a way that I could do it while in that " in between" state. I then finally slipped into a short dream that made it very clear to me that even though it was quite an honor to be chosen for the consortium and would've meant scoring major brownie points with the higher ups, it just wasn't worth endangering my fragile balance of health right now. I like your problem much better and I can't wait to have it when I'm working on the quilt I'm making in my head inspired by you.

The wheels keep turning, even when we're half or fully asleep.

I came back to let you know that you are like a head in a quilt. When I see the picture Icon for this video on the front page, your shirt makes you camouflaged in the quilt so its just a head.

yeah, I thought that pieced fabric in my shirt might be interesting.
