Loved the 'ugly cake' story. :) I had a huge B'day party thrown for me when I turned 40 by some friends. It's strange, but I didn't know why I deserved such treatment. I guess that's where the "acceptance" part is important. I hope you had a lovely dinner. :-)

My family forgot my 40th. My Dad was the only one who ever remembered my birthday. Thankfully MrPoe made my 40th special, despite my family.

We should have an ugly cake baking contest here on the Ark. That would be fun.

Oh, and my husbands birthday is Feb. 13th. I wonder if he would like an ugly birthday cake. LOL
