Whatever floats your boat...
My Husband found this for me. Apparently he doesn't think I'm screaming out in my sleep enough.
roboti innocuouso
(sleep well, Blanchie- I shall get you one of these)
But just to be safe, get rid of your hummingbird feeder:
Okay, how 'bout this one :
(it's not a repeat. Watch to end)
I find that downright creepy, as in shades of the Star Wars imperial walkers. However, a machine that walks and that can catch its balance--I can definitely see that that has applications in the development of better artificial limbs.
The Big Dog Beta: lol.
I like to think
(it has to be!)
of a cybernetic ecology
where we are free of our labors
and joined back to nature,
returned to our mammal
brothers and sisters,
and all watched over
by machines of loving grace.
~Richard Brautigan, 1967
@ NJ- I love the poem.
@ Chig - You know what I found so creepy?,...my reSPONSE to that thing getting kicked in the side !!
The comment I left @ YT was " was anybody else horrified by the thing getting kicked?,..and PETR (People for the ethical treatment of Robots) is born."
I felt the same disgust and pain that I feel when I see animal abuse.
That's just freaky. I hope you're right that technology saves us but I'm skeptical. If the nerds can manage to control it outside and away from the greedy inbreds ( those who think ruling and power is their birthright ) then we might win yet. Otherwise, it will just be used for some sort of control.
I'm sure the last thing the Koch brothers want is for us to be able to get free energy from the sun or clean water right from the air.
