Whatever floats your boat...

This is just early free flow thoughts.... maybe just a poor idea... dunno.

First off, I like to think in terms of positive outcome....

It seems that all of us came together for one major project, we could move mountains.  Tell me what kind of mountains you would like to move.   How would you make this planet a little better?

What kind of stories do you like?

Do some of you remember sometime ago an animated cartoon, in which several animators were given the final frame of the previous animators cartoon, and told to animate their own short... then they were all put together in one animated film?   What would that be like if we had similar directions with a movie in which each of us are given an act and a minimalist story bible, and the last five seconds of the scene of the act which proceeded our act.   Maybe there might be directions, such as include this piece of music... or convey this emotion.... but let artistic license rest primarily on the owner of the act....

what do you think?

1.  I lose faith in humanity more and more.  Today it was over pig wrestling in Wisconson.  don't ask, but it got my blood boiling.    When I was younger I had many great dreams of how to make this planet a better place.  Unfortunately, I am now starting to believe that the negative outweighs the positive and feel that there is no bright light, but only the dollar sign at the end of the tunnel.   Not trying to be a debbie downer.

2. I love stories on how something really positive happened, a sick person became better, a dying neighborhood got a new leash, people helping others, etc.

LIMA,SARA... This just in : I was sitting outside on the porch when the next door neighbor's son came barreling out his door to kick trees and chase doves and play ball-bounce against our family room window. This kid is being raised by a single mom, in poverty, has no consistent father figure and yet he comes to us hat-in-hand with an obviously heavy heart and says : " I'm sorry I was playin' on your porch, Sir. It won't happen again." - and it didn't happen again. He is going to be a fine young man. We need more moms like his.

Uh, that's it. Levity-n-shit....and it seemed to go along with the whole saving-the-world theme.

And Lima, the more faith I have in myself the less I need faith in humanity but it's in constant flux. I feel ya'.There's a lot of really sick shit out there.

@ TG- *Mona Lisa smile*   ( that's why she smiled like that, by the way....it's the smirk just before you launch someone's bone cartilage up their brain )

@ Geoff: "I seriously question the notion that if we all pitched in together we could "move mountains."

I guess that depends on how you define mountains. When Amy was seriously ill, I feared for her life and it looked like she had run out of options. She recently emailed a thank-you letter to everyone who helped her out in the "Put Blanche in the Hospital" campaign to let us know how thoroughly good life is for her again. That was just a bunch of online people who started a video project to raise money for her, and the amount we raised changed her prospect of getting well. Amy is still here and life is good for her. To me, that was a mountain, and it was moved by a bunch of people like us. Excuse me, a bunch of people who are us.

So I refuse to be cynical. I've seen what can be done.

@ Geoff- ^^^   I think she just used your comment as a segue 'cause she wanted to talk about me.

Who wouldn't ? I'm special. Not in a GOOD way mind you but special none the less.

Special in every way, Amy.
