Whatever floats your boat...

‎"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."

"Fat drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son", --Dean Vernon Wormer.

"We can no longer afford to worship the god of hate or bow before the altar of retaliation. The oceans of history are made turbulent by the ever-rising tides of hate. And history is cluttered with the wreckage of nations and individuals that pursued this self-defeating path of hate"...  ---MLK Jr.

It's just practice for the big Cinco De Mayo parties...  No one knows anything about that holiday other than get drunk and talk loudly until you pass out.  Give everyone a pass....Its really about a decade of frustration being pubically dealt with after such an anticipated event that many thought would never come... Everyone will wake up to sad reality soon enough again.

I just put that on my Facebook profile yesterday.  It really sums up what a lot of us have been feeling.

How eerie it is that MLK could be so prescient about so many things. This is a perfect quote for the week.

I did the same, Syd, and there's actually a debate brewing on my page.  With one of my best friends, no less!
