Very nice, no dog shit to make your day. It is all supposed to be like this in France, but it is wheelchair impossible. The legislation made Chirac look great, gave the paper-slitherers look busy, but it never got fixed to workable standards. Strange for a country obsessed with "mutilées de guerre", but do little for them.

@elaurenzo..It's not that good in all parts of the States. Where I live, I had to put up a big fight with my building to get a curb cut put in, and they hate me for it. Mainly in big cities will you find access as good as NYC. It's a shame it is the way you describe in France.
