The Ark

Whatever floats your boat...

First off Kirb is still with us, and active. His Lymphs are not swollen at the moment. I have no clue, and won't guess how much time is left. I just try to make the most of the time left.

This is a celebration of the 10 years (this June 2nd) that the Universe has loaned us the handsome red boy who has taken great care of us, our home and the other dogs. Thanks Kirb. I am very proud of you, red dude.

That is one hansome red dude.  He seems like he's got so many sides to him; the pup, the warrior, the rascal, the introspective wind-lover, the competitive sibling.

Thanks, Chiggums, for allowing us to get to know Kirb through your eyes (and heart).

*chuckles* KIrby = beauty + brains + quite the character. The love in your family just sparkles in this video.

I'm so glad you decided to be Dog parents.

Thanks. I needed that.

When I first opened the Ark page and saw the title Orange Sky Reprise, I got a lump in my throat and thought oh no. Thanks for stating right off the top that Kirb is still with you.

I have grown quite in love with Kirby. He could easily edge out Lassie in a beauty contest. And when I look at the intelligence in those eyes in the frame at 1:45, I think he could outdo me at chess. Thank you for sharing this retrospective from puppyhood to the present. I can see how this song is going to continue to deepen in meaning for you whenever you think of him.

Ah thank you guys.  Your words mean so much.   At the moment Kirb is resting.  He was a bit restless earlier, and always hungry... We had a good 1.2 mile walk this morning and a pretty good day.

Here you can see him from a brief video I took last night (yesterday was an okay day):

The trouble child is still trouble?

The fact that Kirb, of all the worthy ones on this planet, was not ascended to heaven is proof to me that there is no heaven. And as for me, wherever the dogs are, that's where I want to be left behind.

nice. The choice of music is spot on. "...my salvation lies in your love..."

Just tuning in for another big dose of beauty before I sign out and begin my Saturday chores today.
