I quit wearing a watch over 10 years ago... and I don't have any "clocks" hanging in my house or alarm clocks. I do however have my phone set to go off in the morning to wake me up and I have clocks on my kitchen appliances which are not correct.

I know exactly what you are speaking about, almost like a loop hole in life where you did what you needed to do and went back to when you started the task...

Enjoyed the conversation while pinning the fabric, and liked the score for the opening and closing of the video...

@ Tree: Thank you, Tree. "Extraordinary." That will keep me floating for several days!

@ Flop: I did a big series of both prints and oils like these. That second one was the only interior. The rest were exterior night scenes from San Francisco and stood as a personal metaphor for the depopulation of friends in my life due to the AIDS epidemic.

@ Blanchie: Another WOW from BlancheNoE! (Are you reading this, Pyper?) I know exactly what you're talking about--sneaking out into the night for "a taste of total freedom." Those times in my childhood when I did that it was utterly exhilarating. It seemed I could run faster or bike farther and the whole world was empty except for me, which made it all mine.

Mezzotints! NJ, you Victorian you! Have you ever read the M. R. James ghost story "The Mezzotint"?

Tree, are you considering sewing these video strips together--each day being a strip--for a final quilt? Vimeo seems capable of handling long files and I think people would enjoy these as a single piece.

I'm planning to put them on a DVD
I have done 2 other quilts on line.
