I just really enjoy listening to you while you work. I too love Geoff's idea of a video-quilt,..maybe with "pieced" background music even,..a mash up of snippets from very different songs. This just made me think of a birthday video I created for Syd a couple of years ago. I believe it *was* a video quilt,..albeit with new pieces (squares custom ordered from the video community). I'm going to have to dig that one out. It'll be just in time for her half-birthday.

I love Lima's idea of making a quilt from her mother's clothes. I once heard of a quilt maker who specialized in making memorial quilts on commission. She made quilts from the clothing of someone's deceased loved one. I think that's a wonderful memorial. It allows the remnants of someone's physical presence to continue giving warmth.
