If I had written to myself last New Year's Eve and read it this week, it would seem and feel like yesterday's mail.

1.  Since I had my gall bladder removed 6 years ago I don't crave pasta the way I used to

2. I stopped in my early 20s because life became fuller.  Sporadic journal keeping since then, poetry, travel journals.

"Life became fuller." That's interesting to me, because when I am likewise busy living my life, I feel much less need to record it.
