Our first drive together. I know it's too long...too bad :-)

This was too hard to cram into 30 seconds. Sorry!

How wonderful.  I remember my step-dad took me out driving and I was super nervous and I kept hitting the brake to hard.  Your son did much better then me.  Kudos :0)

Classic "God, you are worse than dad"

Letting a teenage male newbie drive you around town? I think I'd rather take my chances in that white-water kayak that BlancheNoE filmed!

Seriously though, Joey looks like he's doing pretty well. It's gotta be tough to let go enough to let your kid do that. Not only so much potential for danger, but it's a major step in independence for him.

As my good friend Debbie Ryder said, "who needs fiber when you have a teenage driver in the house?!"

Debbie Ryder's got the best line I've ever heard on teenage drivers.

Ruth, I'm at the same place with Tommy!!  I'll have to post the video I took of him getting his permit, finally.  He was so excited.  He got all the paperwork together that he needed and made all the phone calls (for info) on his own.  I was impressed.

It's kind of scary getting in there for the first time as a passenger, eh?  I tried not to let on how nervous I was.  Kept saying how he was a much better driver than I was, lol.

Congrats on the milestone!

It's effin' TERRIFYING!!  And to try to be "normal" and not react?!  Or, in my case, OVER-react...Oscar-worthy was my performance!!
