I tried to register and found it wholly frustrating. I can't enter any info into my profile or settings because I get trapped in a ridiculous loop where "You have to verify your email before you can [upload a portrait, enter your location, load a video, etc.]." I have clicked on "Complete your registration by following this link:" from my confirmation email, only to get stuck on "You have to verify your email..." all over again.
My initial impression that this isn't a terribly user-friendly site are being confirmed.
NJ...because it's presently a "private" site, you have to be approved before you're official! I think it's a done deal now :-)

Hiya Ruth. I didn't have any problem with the Troupe d' Ark. It was my own personal account settings that weren't working at first. It turns out that Vimeo just needed 10 or 15 minutes to process the registration or something, because all of a sudden the loop stopped cycling and things started working.
@NJ, I went through the same kind of thing, very frustrating! Still not sure I'm fully accepted based on my homepage url: www.vimeo.com , it doesn't show my username in my url.
Syd, thanks! That worked, I still have one problem, I seem to have accounts under two email addresses, the original one I signed up with that I would like to delete, and the correct one, and they are both under 'photo2010'. I'm trying to delete the old address and account and see no way to do it. Right now I have to use a different browser to use my correct account. No biggie, I can just continue to do that.
