I really like Roger Ebert. He still writes movie reviews and I keep up with them online. For someone who has had to give up so many other pleasures just to stay alive--the ability to eat, drink, speak, even make a facial expression--I'm glad that he still has those two abilities essential to his career, the ability to watch movies and write about them. And I really respect him for all he's done to promote his message, that the sick should not be shunned because the appearances that illness can take make us uncomfortable.
