The Ark

Whatever floats your boat...

Do you dream? I believe we all dream, but we don't always remember them. Lately I've been dreaming a lot..vivid, often unpleasant dreams. I have
read that dreams are sometimes a means of working out problems we deal with in our
daily lives. Do you believe that? What do your dreams mean to you?

Christine, I think there is probably a connection between the changes you made and your dreams. My dreams almost always take place in the home I grew up in. A generally happy childhood..but these dreams seem to be based on childhood fears. I'm glad yours are pleasant now. Sleeping with the tv on probably is a bad idea as far as dreams, but it's a habit I have trouble breaking. Maybe I should just keep the Ark on, lol. xox

I do have recurring dreams that have to do with drowning and water. I don't know what they mean, but the theme has been the same throughout my life. It doesn't scare me because I never actually drown. I just always seem to be in a tidal wave or something!

Dreams are interesting at the very least entertaining. I log mine when I wake up. That is a book that should be burned upon death I think ;0)

Ruth, I'm not sure what that means either. If I had drowning dreams, I would probably guess it comes from a sense of being stifled in some way..just a thought.

I think our dreams are often problem-solving processes that our brains continue to work on while we sleep. I remember in high school that I used to dream math solutions that evaded me during the day. But I also think that dreams are similar to conscious thought in at least one way: some of it is quality, meaningful stuff, and some of it is gibberish!

Albie, having the same dream as your daughter or husband is interesting. Is it possible you dreamed about something you had been discussing previously?

NatureJunkie, I've had dreams that I composed music in. Unfortunately, by the time I wake up..it's gone, and I can't write musical notation anyway. I need to dream up some ways to make money soon..

I deamt I was an angry king in my guts, bobbing around in the chyle. The anger was from a baby who's needs were not met.The psycho-somatics are a closed box I can only guess about, asthe box is osmotically sealed, unless the solutions become too imbalanced and the unconscious starts to leak into the conscious.
