Whatever floats your boat...

Does Bisexuality Exist as a type of sexuality?

Or is it simply a transition phase?

It's convenient to be bisexual, it's more socially tolerable to some, and in some cases, it can be used to brush off pure gay tendencies, ie Suzie and Sparkle just made out, but Suzie's college mates would scoff at the idea, unless she was simply just drunk and experimenting and as long as she went back to her boyfriend the next day.

Is saying that one is bisexual, simply saying "hey- I love men and women equally and will gladly fuck either if the time, the person and situation was right"....

or is saying you are bisexual really saying "hey- I really love people of the same sex, but I fuck people of my opposite sex because I am supposed to and receiving male on female stimulation isn't so bad"....

Just thinking out loud... I really hope I didn't come off as rude or obnoxious, I am just curious, be gentle with me. love, ~m~

@Christine- interesting you say this because one of my best friends growing up always found herself to be Asexual, lol and I would ask her what that meant and it was her way of saying that if she wants to be with a person she is with them for reasons beyond their sexuality, so deep on a spiritual basis that the sexuality doesn't matter to her

I'd never presume to say something does or doesn't exist. One person's reality is not another person's. C'est la vie...the only really important thing is the ability to give and receive love.

Bisexual? Interesting topic. I think its a Kinsey scale thing. If gay is a 10 I'm a 9. so I'm kinda bi...I could totally hold a guys hand.....ha

I'm a lesbians- I had short-lived relationships with some great guys but it was seriously like dating a brother. It wasn't until I fell in love with a woman that it hit me I was gay. lol

But I'll never close myself off to the idea that I might one day fall in love with a man.

Being gay (to me) is about taking that line that society put there that dictates WHO it is I can love. That line looks preposterous to me now having felt more than profound feelings for another woman. It taught me anything's possible.

Hol, those are good thoughts.

I've contemplated my life and where it fits in with bisexuality vs not. I really like men, but there are some women I find really attractive, as well as really being interested in them. That being said, am I more non bisexual because I like more men or does it really matter? It's an interesting thing to me.

There are all kinds of reasons we love. Physical attraction is usually first, but that can blind us to other characteristics that we might not choose. But, like the sub-heading to the Ark: "Whatever floats your boat". :)
