Oh I love that sound and the sounds that seem to be amplified,...no,...focused by that quality.
Feet sinking into the snow, a muffled running stream, wind that seems to be trying to keep it's voice down in reverence for the sleeping landscape,....nice.

I think I have to second you on this one, Spacemonkey. That silence that isn't really silence, but just a profound lack of sound---it's sublime.
