I really enjoyed this. Thanks for the chuckle. I played in a rock band in my twenties. Though I am certainly not in the league of those you mentioned, I threw up regularly before shows. If not for whiskey, I never would have taken the stage at all. Great story, elaurenzo. It made me feel good to know that even though I will never be a virtuoso, I can vomit with the best of 'em.

I'm sorry you suffered so much, it could have been worse like Alice Cooper, so count yourself lucky.

Did Alice have stage fright ?!?. That would be ironic. I really like Alice Cooper ! I tried out to be one of the crazies in his " Quiet Room " tour. Our local record (remember vinyl?) store held a contest,...got 2nd place,..won a crate full of his albums which later got stolen. Did he really have stage fright ? OH,..and I didn't really suffer,..'cause I was drunk !,..suffered the next day though.

He was too busy puking blood to get stage fright, but there were many who alked their way through, since the days when non alcoholised town water was not safe to drink. Mozart probably died from tripping down the stairs, drunk. There were many stars in the C18th who drank and got high on wine cigars, like Schumann, and Branwell Brontë who was a Laudanum addict.
