I've read that an especially heavy growth of chin whiskers on German husbands means a long cold winter.

Also, if you are ever lost and disoriented in the woods, place said husband in the sunlight (the length of his shadow should be approximately half his height). Stroke both sides of his face. The side that feels particularly bristly will be true north.

A lot of Americans obtain German spouses without appreciating and taking advantage of even half of their useful features.

One is in fashion in any season with the fleece hoodie. But to get that redneck tan line above the sternum, break out the Bootsy gear! 

Next time, I hope we get the full time-lapse treatment.

@ Geoff- I think my German might be defective because he's always facing north with both sides of his face. I'm gonna' keep him though. That cracked me up.
